How to Travel to Mabinay,
Negros Oriental, from Cebu City

●One way is to travel from Cebu City to Dumaguete (Negros Island gateway city) is via the Ocean Fast Ferry, which has a fast ferry (3 hour trip) leaving Cebu City for Dumaguete via Tabilaran (Bohol Island) at 6:30 a.m. The Ocean Fast Ferry departs Cebu City from Pier 1 in the port area. To confirm the latest ferry schedule and to make a seat reservation, phone in Cebu 255-7560. Website: http://www.oceanjet.net  Upon your arrival in Dumaguete, take a tricycle to the Ceres bus terminal and then board a bus going to Bacolod via Mabinay (and  NOT via San Carlos).

Cokaliong Shipping Lines has a regular ferry (at least six hours of travel) from Cebu City to Dumaguete several times a week. Its Cebu phone is 232-7211 thru 72-18. Upon your arrival in Dumaguete, take a tricycle to the Ceres bus terminal and then board a bus going to Bacolod via Mabinay (and  NOT via San Carlos).

Private Vehicle or Ceres Bus and Ferry Combination to Tampi Crossing and/or Dumaguete City, Negros Island. You can drive your own private service vehicle from Cebu to Negros Island (use Maayo Ferry to carry your vehicle across the short ocean gap between the two islands), or you can get on a special air conditioned Ceres bus or (non-air conditioned at a lower price) at the main Cebu City bus terminal for a trip that includes the bus going onto the Maayo Shipping ferry to cross the ocean from Cebu Island to Tampi, Negros Oriental---you can either get off the bus at Tampi Crossing to take another Ceres bus northward to Mabinay, or continue onward, southward (away from Mabinay) to Dumaguete City if you want to visit beautiful Dumaguete prior to your continuing trip to Mabinay.

Fly from Cebu City to Bacolod. The Bacolod Airport is on the national highway on the south side of Bacolod. Walk 50 meters from the terminal to the national highway to catch a Ceres bus going to Dumaguete City via Mabinay (about a 3 hour trip).
