How to Travel to
Mabinay,
Negros Oriental, from Cebu City
& Cebu Island
●One way is to travel from Cebu City to Dumaguete (Negros Island gateway
city) is via the Ocean Fast Ferry, which has a fast ferry (3 hour
trip) leaving Cebu City for Dumaguete via Tabilaran (Bohol Island) at 6:30
a.m. The Ocean Fast Ferry departs Cebu City from Pier 1 in the port area. To
confirm the latest ferry schedule and to make a seat reservation, phone in

http://www.oceanjet.net Upon your arrival in Dumaguete, take a tricycle
to the Ceres bus terminal and then board a bus going to Bacolod via
Mabinay (and NOT via San Carlos).
●Cokaliong Shipping Lines has a regular ferry (at least six hours of
travel) from Cebu City to Dumaguete several times a week. Its Cebu phone is
232-7211 thru 72-18. Upon your arrival in Dumaguete, take a tricycle to the
Ceres bus terminal and then board a bus going to Bacolod via Mabinay
(and NOT via San Carlos).

●Private Vehicle or Ceres Bus and Ferry Combination to Tampi Crossing and/or Dumaguete
City, Negros Island. You can drive your own private service vehicle from
Cebu to Negros Island (use Maayo Ferry to carry your vehicle across the
short ocean gap between the two islands), or you can get
on a special air conditioned Ceres bus or
(non-air conditioned at a lower price) at the main Cebu City bus terminal
for a trip that includes the bus going onto the Maayo Shipping ferry to
cross the ocean from Cebu Island to Tampi, Negros Oriental---you can either
get off the bus at Tampi Crossing to take another Ceres bus northward to
Mabinay, or continue onward, southward (away from Mabinay) to Dumaguete City
if you want to visit beautiful Dumaguete prior to your continuing trip to
Mabinay. |

●Fly from Cebu City to Bacolod. The Bacolod Airport is on the
national highway on the south side of Bacolod. Walk 50 meters from the
terminal to the national highway to catch a Ceres bus going to Dumaguete
City via Mabinay (about a 3 hour trip). |
